The success of our program at the Port Arthur Housing Authority is because of owners and property managers like yourselves who are willing to provide safe\, decent\, and sanitary housing to our clients. \nWe will be conducting our annual landlord meeting Tuesday\, September 23\, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Port Arthur Civic Center located at 3401 Cultural Center Drive\, Port Arthur\, TX 77642. Please R.S.V.P to Kenedi Wright at (409) 984-2619 by Wednesday\, September 17\, 2025 if you plan to attend. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe will discuss the following: \n\nTenant screening\nReasonable Accommodations\nFair Housing\nLead Base Paint\nExpanding Housing Opportunities\nCompletion of the Request for Tenancy Approval\nInitial\, Annual and Special Inspections\nQuality Control\nRent Reasonableness and Rent Increases\nLandlord & Tenant Responsibilities\nCost of 3rd Follow Up Inspection\nHAP Contract\nVAWA\nLeases\nTerminations\nBenefits of direct deposit\nNew Executive Director\, Joe Guillory\n\nWe will also answer questions regarding Housing Quality Standard (HQS) inspections\, NSPIRE\, McCright & Associates\, and any other upcoming changes for the HCV programs. \nWe encourage you to list your unit(s) with us as they become available.
